Mu Nu Foundation, Incorporated

The Mu Nu Foundation, Inc. was started on February 20, 2004. Its goal is to help Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Montgomery County, Maryland with its charitable and community programs.  The foundation has IRS Section 501(c)(3) status and is publicly supported. Omega Psi Phi's Mu Nu Chapter, a graduate chapter, has engaged Montgomery County's 1.3 million residents for 53 years.  The Foundation sponsors Montgomery County programs to improve quality of life.  The highly regarded George B. Thomas, Sr. Learning Academy (GBTLA), also known as the Saturday School Program, mentors and tutors thousands of Montgomery County public school students in grades 1–12. Montgomery County students, businesses, civic leaders, and other notable citizens are honored during National Achievement Week.  The Foundation supports the Rudolph W. Snowden Memorial Scholarship Fund (RWSMSF), which provides scholarships to Montgomery County youth who want to attend HBCUs.  The National Talent Hunt Program allows young artists to showcase their talents.  With community, business, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. support, the Foundation continues these many endeavors.
